William E. Hughes, M.D., received his undergraduate degree in applied physics from Auburn University in 1973, and was commissioned as a naval officer. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 1984, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.
Dr. Hughes completed his surgical and urologic residencies at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in 1990. He then served as head of the urology department at Millington Naval Hospital from 1990 to 1997, when he joined Urology Specialists. He also served as clinical assistant professor of urology at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine from 1994 to 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.
A native of Decatur, Dr. Hughes is married with 3 children. |
